The T.I.C.K.S. Rule for Safe Babywearing
Tight
Carrier should be snug and hold baby high against your body without sagging.
In View at All Times
You should always be able to see your baby’s face with no fabric obscuring the airway.
Close Enough to Kiss
Baby should be high enough on your chest that you can easily tilt your head and kiss them.
Keep Chin Off Chest
Leave at least two fingers of space under baby’s chin to keep the airway open.
Supported Back
Baby’s back should be gently supported in a natural curve, with secure positioning throughout.
